Railway management systems

Telematika offers comprehensive solutions for the digital conversion of railway stations, robotic process automation and train collision avoidance

We implement full-cycle, large-scale projects for the development and implementation of software based on simulation modeling, machine learning, predictive analytics, and data management.

We also develop software, manufacture and implement automated monitoring and intelligent diagnostic systems for rolling stock, create systems to support closed-loop unmanned processes on railway infrastructure, and supply and implement low-level collision avoidance automation using microprocessor-based automatic train protection systems.

In Russia, Telematika’s solutions are utilized in the Digital Railway Station project. This is one of Russian Railways’ key initiatives, which uses state-of-the-art digital technologies to modernize railway stations and enhance their efficiency and safety.

Digital railway station software

A state-of-the-art comprehensive software suite, developed using domestically-sourced technologies, automates the complete cycle of trains and railcars processing operations at stations with minimal human intervention. It also generates reliable analytical, reporting, and inventory information in real time.

As part of the Digital Railway Station software development, Telematika implements comprehensive projects to deploy planning and task completion monitoring modules. These modules enable detailed, automated planning and monitoring of operations at marshaling, freight, and transit yards 24 hours in advance.

Implementing the Digital Railway Station system at marshaling and freight yards offers the following benefits:

  • Reduced railcar idle times
  • Increased yard capacity
  • Lower operating costs
  • Enhanced safety through the use of minimally manned technologies

End-to-end collision avoidance solutions

Telematika designs, delivers, and implements centralized microprocessor-based automatic train protection systems, which provide safe train operations and minimize train following distances on high-speed, main line, and low-traffic railway lines.

This system manages the line-side traffic lights, monitors the consistent occupancy and freeing of track circuits, codes them, manages and monitors the automated grade crossing signals, and ensures the automatic and hand operated blocking and unblocking of prohibitive line-side traffic lights, as well as the change in the direction of a train’s movement on a line section.

Telematika's products and services include:

  • Supply and integration support for collision avoidance systems
  • Secure industrial computer that is a part of the automated workstation of the electromechanical technician and station duty officer workstation
  • Software for service terminals integrated into the automatic block signal control modules cabinet
